Hi Rose I seem to have missed this post somehow! Anyway really pleased that you have got your first self- injection out of the way, a few more goes and it will be like clockwork. I'm on Enbrel but do avoid injecting into my thighs, as Doreen says, it does sting like hell! Fingers crossed the next couple of months will see huge improvements for you. You have waited so long for this (I'm surprised its not past its sell by date!) you deserve some good fortune now Take care Rose, Lyn x

Hello thanks all, Still feeling muzzy brain head, bad headache, sharp pains etc. However I got completly stressed out
at work today. Had to do some online tests and they were difficult . I did 5 out of 13 but 1 failed miserably on one of them. So tears
flowed freely tonight. I feel so useless, thick, worthless etc. etc. and totally stressed out. Pains even more so everywhere
so gone to bed as a good night sleep will do me good.
Doreen and Lynn - I will stay clear of my thighs - thank you for advice
Ceri and Julia - sorry that things not good for you at mo

Hi Rose You are so poorly at the moment, it was just not the right time to sit through tests of any sort. To be honest Rose, you shouldn t be at work at the moment, and really if your company understand just how ill you feel I don t think you would have been put through it - it wasn t fair on you and any one of us on here would have come home in the same state - we are human after all ! Try and keep positive, you are now on Humira, which is the good news I m sure you will soon turn the corner and start to feel much better soon. Julia x

Thank you everybody. Although still very stiff from the stressed yesterday, had quite a quiet day,
As I was off for 7 half months last year so I really do not feel I could take more time off. I was very full time, and now at mo doing 12 hours pw.

Hello All,
A little update . Work still a very stressful job, I find it difficult and seem to have lost the 'will, want, or energy' now. I do find this all upsetting as I was Manager in the office and I always showed my peeps how things should be done, however now I just can't seem to sell insurance anymore. I have a wooly brain and the list could go on.
Taken my 3rd Humira injection today. Yes the sting at the injection site although ouch is managable. However, since 5 ish today (I injected at 2) I have felt AWFUL. Extremely bad head and BAD flu type conditions, hot , cold, and all joints hurting badly. Eaten nothing as feel sick and feel that I could get an upset stomach.
Gone to bed hope tomorrow will feel better - but it is a 6 hr work day - urgh.
Since starting Humira I find that I am getting sharp pains in hands and fingers and also sharp pains in elbows and even in the neck.
Are all these things that I have to put up with . . . . . . . x

hi Rose,
really sorry to hear you are struggling,
you were waiting so long to get started on the Humira too.
have you spoken to your Rheumy Nurse about the way you feel..?
try and keep positive that things will improve soon,
Suzanne x
P.S. I've just posted on my Exasperated Thread that i can't start on my Humira yet as the UTI i have won't fully clear up, so have to have an ultra sound on bladder/kidneys. so feeling disappointed here.

Hi Rose,
Sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. I had a huge flare after 6 weeks on humira, I wonder if this is what is happening to you? I think you should contact your rheumy nurse about the sharp pains you are getting. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Love, Doreen xx

Hi Rose
Sorry to hear you are feeling so rough at the moment, not helped by the stress of work!
When I first started on Enbrel I had a fuzzy head and tingling fingers but they subsided after a few weeks. I really hope things start to pick up for you soon and you see some positive results from the Humira
Best Wishes
Sue

I didn't go to work on Thursday I was too poorly. Apart from the headache and also flu like symptoms, I started to itch everywhere in the middle of the night. It was all over, to describe it felt my blood boiling and this intense itching.
Has anyone else got these symptoms, ie headaches, itching and more intense sharp pains when taking Humira.
I must say all these things are getting me down, I just wanted a magic wand to make me better, but it looks like I may need a different 'fairy'
Sorry for the moan

Hi Rose, Definitely contact your rheumy nurse - itching all over may or may not be connected to the humira, but you need to get it checked out asap. Take care, Kathleen x

Hello All
I left a mess last Friday on my RA nurse answerphone, however no reply.
I have a RA meeting tomorrow evening and she is there so hopefully will get a chance to natter then
I am pleased to say the itching has subsided, but funnily enough the pains in feet and hands and fingers is awful . .. so I really don't know.
